On Saturday, November 9, 2019 the Spouses of Houston Barristers and almost 400 guests sailed into A Night in Havanna to a moonlit night with waving palm trees and Cuban music from the Collectors Item Band, and dancing the night away to music provided by DJ Cruz. As a result of our generous sponsors, SHB proudly presented $25,000 in scholarships to Hannah Addison, Toni Ojomo, Kenesha Starling, Morgin Ward and Alisha Wilson deserving law students at our biannual Barristers Ball, held at the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria Hotel. SHB is pleased to recognize the significant contribution of legal legend Leonard M. Baynes, Dean & Professor of Law, University of Houston and Guest Speaker and former SHB Scholarship Recipient, Ieshia N. Champs. They join the ranks of previous distinguished honorees and recipients.
